How does your time at SPU connect to what you’re doing today?
My time at SPU prepared me by helping to build relationships with leaders in and around the city. Those relationships have remained with me throughout the years personally, professionally, and spiritually, and they have heavily contributed to the work I do today, both at home and at work.
Which SPU faculty or staff member made a difference in your education?
Mark Oppenlander and his leadership over the Mentor Program at SPU was pivotal in my development as a young professional. I attribute the success of this program to Mark’s leadership and to the culmination of a community of influential Seattle leaders who are willing to share their experiences and time with hungry students at SPU.
What advice would you give to current SPU students?
Don’t lose touch with those who were influential during your time at SPU, they can and will continue to play an important role in your life if you let them.
